1. Loved Blue Rock .. especially drums! 2. How did the corps take the name BLUE ROCK? 3. Always wondered why Blue Rock did not attend the 1972 DCI Championship ... that was a good year for the corps and they would have done well. 4. LOVE your "Ode to Real Drum Corps" |

I enjoyed marching for blue rock and the vanguards(I was drum major). My family was totally into drum corps. My brothers and sister were in(the big corps)when I was younger. My whole life at that time was drum corps. I want to thank the good people of Blue Rock for giving me the friendship and the comraderie we had with the corps.I leave you with this and I hope everybody is doing well Love ya all Debbie |

We are having a reunion in July 2010. If anyone knows their where-abouts Please contact me: mflack47@yahoo.com or my website. Thanks a lot! |

Ted, Harry and Cal were heroes. These men did so much to help the youth in our communities. My years with the Vanguards and Blue Rocks are the best memories of my childhood. Looking back now I can see we were a force to be reckoned with but back then I had no idea how good we were as a team. Ted took a bunch of kids, most who had no talent and molded them into a world class act. Bless you Ted. |

I have always loved Blue Rock from the first time I heard them. Their music, their style, everything was always nothing less than the best !! When I think about Blue Rock- the first thing that comes to mind is "Baby Elephant Walk" then the many other songs they performed !! JOHN |

Fantastic to see posts from former Vanguard members and other corps friends like Harry Sharp....Dennis Romanoski.....etc. Just remember that we continue with our informal Wildwood reunion at Kellys during Elks weekend in June. Each year it gets better and better with many more alumni and friends in attendance each year. Funny, tho, we watch the parade of many drum corps and there are no cops with dogs out there attempting to intimidate those who may be consuming copious amounts of male beverage. I'll continue posting updates to confirm date, etc. Let's see yaz out there |

Good time, great people, travel, rip-offs, fun, growing, and no I haven't changed, just better like fine wine. If a re-union or just an opportunity to get together is in the planning I'm all for it. It would be great to see everyone again. |
