I think the only Braves here are Big Nick, Mark Marcin and I. It's a great week -
perfect weather, great classes, super concerts, dances with music that you'll
never hear anywhere else (many unique combination of musicians on stage at
various times), and all sorts of great jams. All that is lacking is sleep.

This year (first ever) we are combined with a new Early Country Music week. Ginny Hawker organized it and what a good bunch of musicians. Some Cajun week folks are attending those classes as well, Those country music folks like to jam and dance as well. What a great addition to Augusta.

I must report that our fearless leader, Big Nick, was caught playing some really
complicated licks at what was supposed to be a slow jam. I just felt it was my
duty to report him.

I really wasn't sure where the fast and slow jams were ..
Except, there was supposed to be a daily slow jam at 4:00 pm,
right?

Was the morning jam supposed to be fast or slow?

It seems to me that the "fast" jams quickly become
dominated by the current player at the helm.

A couple "stars" that I've enjoyed jamming with
were Jesse Legge and Drew (of the Pine Leaf Boys.)

There were both quite sharing with the spot light.
