Ahhhh mah chere Marie Jeanne Brousseau or could that be a knockoff of Broussard?
She's like the Steve Riley of Canadian Accordion Players! Incidently, I think Steve Riley is the "Donnie Osmond" of Cajun Accordion Players. LOL. Watch Steve and Donnie Osmond and you'll see exactly what I'm talkin about. A white people's hero. LOL. No disrespect Steve:innocent:
Can we also say that American immigrant Ethnic Germans from Russia should not play accordeon (Lawrence Welk) ? : )
Look on Wikipedia for his bio.. impressive.. more-so than his accordeon playing.
We can thank him for causing the accordeon to be a mocked as a much maligned instrument. Thank you Mr. Welk.
BTW.. the POLKA was not a product of Poles but of Bohemians. Bohemians invented the POLKA.. Fact.
My GGF was an immigrant from Salnau, Bohemia, Austria. (German speaking Czech) . Came to the US in 1883. He is on the Pioneer Register of the State of Washington. He played the accordeon. I have it and play it. 2 1/2 row.. keys of D/G and six bass buttons. Made in Switzerland between 1915 and 1920.
