Re: Nice Quebecoise accordion on youtube...

It's a feminine accordyun so that is why I use "Quebecoise." I thought you knew that... Neener-Neener-Neener...

Re: Nice Quebecoise accordion on youtube...

Pray tell, you found that out how ????????

There are some absolutely kick axe female players in Quebec....

An old saying in Sweden: " If you see four men walking down the street, five of them play the fiddle"

In Quebec: " If you see four people walking down the street, five of them play Accordeon. "

Re: Nice Quebecoise accordion on youtube...

My Texas Polish buddy always "All Polacks play fiddle, most shouldn't".

Let's Polka !.

Good one !

Can we also say that American immigrant Ethnic Germans from Russia should not play accordeon (Lawrence Welk) ? : )

Look on Wikipedia for his bio.. impressive.. more-so than his accordeon playing.
We can thank him for causing the accordeon to be a mocked as a much maligned instrument. Thank you Mr. Welk.

BTW.. the POLKA was not a product of Poles but of Bohemians. Bohemians invented the POLKA.. Fact.
My GGF was an immigrant from Salnau, Bohemia, Austria. (German speaking Czech) . Came to the US in 1883. He is on the Pioneer Register of the State of Washington. He played the accordeon. I have it and play it. 2 1/2 row.. keys of D/G and six bass buttons. Made in Switzerland between 1915 and 1920.
