Advice for Craig Vincent

Craig, in reviewing the activity after to your Creole Stomp post, it occurred to me that, as a group, we are heaping confusion upon you. I've been caught in that trap, so I feel qualified to give advice here.

Focus on the one version that you like. Learn it, play it, until you have it nailed. This will become the foundation for YOUR version of the song.

Then, if you have noticed some licks from other versions that tickle your fancy, start to merge them in.

If you play very much your song is going to change. You'll hear things that you want to incorporate, and you'll feel something inspirational every now and then that will become a lick of your own.

Don't try to do it all in a day. Learning music, enjoying music, is like sipping your favorite beverage. Savor, don't gulp.

Re: Advice for Craig Vincent

Hey Mr. Ned. Thank you for the advice, you did really make me stop and think. Funny thing is thats how it always is with me I find a song get the first part then have trouble with the second part and I find someone else version to learn the second part. I am going to stick to the
first youtube video I've started first part on until I get it. Im almost there just a little something Im missing but I will find it.
