We have organized a jam group in SE Wisconsin (it's a lake not a bayou but it has bays) and would like to learn Two Step de Grand Mallet. The version we have is from the Poullard, Poullard and Garnier CD (Lousiana
Radio.com). This is a great CD and worth getting if
you don't already have it. We need the lyrics to that tune. Thanks for the help.

Where from in Wisconsin, I am in Chicago(although originally from WI), and can't seem to find any Cajun music around here, just Zydeco. Would love to come up to your jam session. Do you know about the thing happening in Dodgeville in a couple weeks, had I known about it, I would have signed up, but it looks like I am too late.
here you go:
Grande Mallet
Oh, tit monde, ouais mais moi j'ai m'en vas
Moi J'ai mon vas cherie
Chu gone a Grande Mallet
Eh yaille c'est pour voir une bassette
Ca me fait de la peine tit monde
Chu gone a Grande Mallet
The lyrics include a creole phrasing (Chu Gone)
Or I'm gone. A shortened version of J'suis.
Have fun with it. If you wan't another clean version to learn from, get Feufollet's second CD. It's the first track on the disc and Stafford and Segura do a real nice uptempo version of it but don't lose any of the original vibe.

To everyone, whenever lyrics are posted here, it could be beneficial to also post them over to the cajunzydeco-lyrics site on yahoo. That way they are easily found. They tend to disappear off this site after a while.
