FWIW .. Yup, I do use button #1 quite a bit. It gives the ability to have the same note on push & pull (using the first 2 buttons). Which allows for some flexibilty in that low register. I think it's even more useful on my high-F box, 'cause the whole low-register becomes useful. I've never heard of a tuning scheme such as wle's but it sure sounds interesting :-) --Big nick
Button # 1 is as practical as any other button. Took me a couple years to appreciate it.
