39 Years & 24 Days, I Realize. . .

Today, I am the same age Dennis was when he lost his life in such an untimely manner. As of sundown, I have now outlived him.

As macabre as it my seem, I realize now, personally, just how short a life he had and how much he had ahead of him. I realize now how hurt my wife, children, and friends would be if I were gone and how much I would be missed. I realize how reflective a time this is in a young man's life, and what questions Dennis had about where he came from. I've read numerous accounts about how Dennis became "obsessed with his old man" like he had something to prove but was unable to process. I realize now why he made many of the choices he made, about how unimportant he must've felt to his dad and why he behaved in such a manner to get his undivided attention.

Dennis loved the spotlight and got plenty of it later on in life when so many people paid attention to him for the choices he was making. Sadly, he didn't choose a long life. . . but oh, what a life he lived!

Buy it for your Dad! Buy it for your son!
Hide your wives and daughters!
(Don't say we didn't warn ya!)
