That's TOO cool, Hal!!! Congrats in advance! Just tell the wife you bought it for her. It works for me everytime. Act like you got your feelings hurt when she says, "why didn't you get me jewelry?!" Insist that she holds it and try to teach her a very difficult tune, oh, let's say "Between Eunice And Opelousas" for example. Be patient. After ten minutes she'll get frustrated and hand it back to you. Tell her you'll take very good care of it for her. Bingo ~ it's yours! Then, you should consider buying "her" a fiddle, ya know...

Hal, I am getting my first Bon Cajun this week. I talked to Larry and he said that he should be sending it out Thursday. It is Curley Walnut. I can hardly wait.

Congratulations! We spent Mardi Gras with Larry and family, and he is indeed winding down production. At that time he had several in the works, but when they're gone, they're gone. My latest Bon Cajun is Brazilian Rosewood from a piece I located and sent to Larry. I donated the remainder of the wood for the CFMA raffle accordion.
