Re: Iry LeJeune Jr...?

It's probably Iry's son, Eddie... using an alias. Sounds like a cool find...

Re: Re: Iry LeJeune Jr...?

It was another son, Ervin.

Re: Iry LeJeune Jr...?

Not sure why but I always assumed it was Iry's son Ervin.

Re: Re: Iry LeJeune Jr...?

Thanks a bunch for the input! I'd been wondering about this one for quite some time so it's nice to have an idea on such things...

Just got some info on this...

When I listened to the mp3 it sounded like the band lineup of Garland Domingue on drums, Mervin Faul on steel and Robert Bertrand on fiddle. I just played with Garland last night and asked him...he said he did some recording with Ervin but did not remember him ever using the name "Iry LeJune, Jr." Hilrae Mott, a guitarist/bassist who played on many of the same records who also was there last night said he was positive that it was "Eddie" who recording under the name "Iry LeJune, Jr.." Hilrae seemed pretty confident and he is an excellent source for information on Cajun Music recording sessions at Eddie Shuler's studio. The only way to know for certain is for me to call Ervin and ask him directly. Maybe I will...
