The tuning of choice in the province of Quebec,for one rows boxes is D, that is to play Quebec Music.
But as always, since, no one is "perfect" , you could go on the Gagne & Freres web site and either e-mail them with your query, or call them and ask Richard Gagne who is in charge of the accordion section, and he will provide you,with the "Definite" information on your question.
the store has been dealing with accordions since the 1890's
They do provide on their web site a free toll 1.888 number.
Yes, he does speak English, and is very obliging.
