I actually came across newsreel of this event, which I believe was in October 1956. You can watch it by going to http://www.itnarchive.com/britishpathe/ . You have to register (free), then get ready to spend far too much time viewing fascinating old footage complete with marvellously dated commentary. Once you're in, just search in the obvious way.
