Your website popped into my head recently, and I wondered if you had \"made it\" or not. My son, also named Randy, was battling ALL the same time you were. He used to read your website for inspiration quite often. He battled for three years, and finally received a bone marrow transplant, but a tiny cell in his brain didn\'t get killed, and it grew back just as Randy was reaching his 100-day mark. He battled for all he was worth, mostly because he had a son also, and he only wanted to live for him. He will have been gone 6 years this coming May. He would have been 50 this year.

I\'m so happy that you were able to survive all your challenges. Randy used to speak of you often, that\'s why I remembered your website. God bless you and your loving family.

I am a former BMT patient of Dr. Mangan's, I was googling his name and your site popped up. I hope all is well with you....Dr. Mangan is an excellent doctor and I recieved the best care at Temple U. I was able to conquer Aplastic Anemia and 2 hip replacements (due to BMT) I was diagnosed in '91 and had my transplant in '93....I am now 40 years old and 15 years later I have a family and no health problems. There is hope, just keep your head up and one day you will look back and be all the wiser and apreciate life all the more...God Bless you. If I can be of any help you have my e-mail.

Man, I'm sorry to hear about your hip! But if there's anyone that can come back strong, I believe it's you, brother! And I will add you to my Honoree List, you were one of the original survivors that signed on my friends list on Myspace and supported me, back when I was first finding my way with all this. I drew strength from your encouragement and I will never forget that.

So, now you're on my Honoree List as promised. I had my first official training session for the 2009 WALT DISNEY WORLD Marathon Weekend as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training Winter 08/09 Participants this weekend. It went very well and I am excited for the opportunity to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
