i met daniel one time at mmc. he had his pic with my son. my son was only a baby. i was told my son had cancer he was 6 weeks old. the day i met daniel it gave me hope for my son. iwe miss daniel.... hope to hear from his foster mom.. would like to spend a night or two in the cabin. do u still have the pic of the two of them?

LOVE the cabin, and the mission. When I visited, I felt Daniel's presence especially when I put my hand on the bathroom tile of his handprint. It was a very moving experience, and confirms that his spirit continues and we will see him again on the other side. God bless all those who use this cabin and may they find joy and laughter in the midst of tough times, just as we have.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I was overwhelmed with pride and joy that you posted my Grandmother, Fleur Conkling Heyliger's poem on your site. I am finding it everywhere I look. I have the original in her handwriting somewhere in her memorabilia. This poem says it all so simply about adopted mothers and their children. My grandmother's poem lives on, just as your son does, in our hearts.

What a wonderful idea! We have been doing money collections from the teachers every Friday who want to wear jeans for a buck. (We have a new dress code!) We would love to send you a contribution. We are doing the collection for 2-3 weeks along with student council doing wear a hat for a buck day with the students. Hopefully, we will have a decent amount to send you soon.
