Any recommendations? I've got an accordion on the way (more on that later - I don't want to jinx it), but it doesn't come with a case. I talked to Marc Savoy, and he has hard cases for $100 (I think) and $75 for a soft case. With piano accordions I much prefer sof...

Is the ideal to have an accordion completely air-tight where you can hang it by the bass strap and it stays completely closed? What degree of leakage is acceptable? Don't lighter springs cause a lighter seal of the valves? I hear all the time of players who...

What are YOU doing, this morning?
I'm sitting on my back porch strumming on the latest addition to my family and watching the McNeese tailgaters scurrying around to cover their stuff before it rains.

Comparisons: new handmades to old handmades
This may be a broad subject or a very narrow subject... I've only been playing since 2002 and the handmades I have are from '02 forward. I've played on many older Louisiana made accordions, but never long enough to put my finger on the differences. Anyone no...

Falcon rumor
I heard from a friend of mind that the patent on Randy's dual accordions is coming up for renewal. According to my friend he won't be renewing it. I don't know if it is true or not, but it would be cool to see if other builders could get the double design like the fa...

Name that Tune!
Can anyone tell me what Cyp and Adam Landrenau are playing on the Youtube vid. The one that's titled 'Cajun Band'. Well, the other one, as well, as far as that goes. I know I've got a version of it somewhere, but it'll take me ages to find it. Thanks, BJ
